With the new school year right around the corner, it’s never too early to have a skin care plan in place. With early wake-up times, homework, and activities, teens are busy. We spoke with QMG Licensed Esthetician Elena Holman about some tips your teen should keep in mind when it comes to their skin.
- It’s never too early to start a good habit. Incorporating skin care at a young age, just like brushing your teeth, is so important for maintaining healthy skin.
- The three most products to start using as a teen are a cleanser, moisturizer, and daily SPF.
- Use moisturizer. -Most people think that because you are more prone to acne as a teenager, you shouldn’t moisturize. All skin types (even oily) should moisturize. I recommend seeing your local esthetician for a proper recommendation of the best skincare products for your skin type.
- If you have skin care concerns, a dermatologist can help. Dermatologists handle any skin concerns such as acne, acne scarring, rashes, warts, etc. There are multiple options and treatments available for acne.
