QUINCY, IL — Breast cancer doesn’t follow a calendar — its impact is felt every single day of the year. That’s why the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP) and the Hancock County Health Dept. are partnering with Quincy Medical Group (QMG) to offer free mammograms to Illinois residents who have no health insurance or have high-deductible health insurance plans.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. interested individuals are invited to attend the “Think Pink All Year!” event at Quincy Senior & Family Resource Center at 639 York St, Quincy. During the event, attendees who qualify for the program will have the opportunity to complete an enrollment application, as well as consult with medical professionals specializing in breast cancer screenings and procedures.

Marissa Radcliffe, QMG Community Healthcare Worker, shared, “It’s a chance for individuals to receive crucial health information and services, which can be particularly beneficial for individuals who might otherwise face barriers due to lack of insurance or high deductibles.”

Luanna Flagg, QMG Community Healthcare Worker, emphasized the importance of cancer screenings such as mammograms in detecting cancer at its earliest stage. She added, “When cancer care is delayed or inaccessible, there is a lower chance of survival. We want to increase awareness and help individuals get the care that they need.”

Below is a list of identification you will need to bring with you to the Tuesday, Jan. 9 “Think Pink All Year!” awareness event. If you are eligible, you will be scheduled for a mammogram on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at QMG at 1118 Hampshire St. in Quincy, IL.

Please bring the following with to the event:
