QUINCY, IL – Quincy Medical Group (QMG) welcomed Dr. Matthew Knudson, urologist, in April. Dr. Knudson joins Dr. Daniel Schneider and Steven Rosen, physician assistant, offering urology care to area patients.
Dr. Knudson grew up in Iowa and completed his undergraduate, medical school studies, and his residency at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. For the past seven years, he practiced in Burlington, IA.
Along with his family, Dr. Knudson is excited to remain in the Midwest and care for patients in the area. Being there for his patients means a lot to him and he strives to do all he can to ensure they get the care and attention they need.
“I have always prided myself on the fact that if somebody calls with a problem, I’ll do everything I can to see them on the same day, if possible,” he said. “I will always provide patients with the highest quality of care. I’m here to listen and give the best service I can.”
Though Dr. Knudson has some family members in the medical field, his mother is a nurse and his brother is a doctor, it was his niece and her health journey that inspired him to pursue medicine.
“My niece was born with a congenital malformation,” he shared. “I was probably 10 or 11 years old when that occurred. Seeing what she went through with multiple surgeries, I was able to see what doctors can do. It really did inspire me.”
