What To Expect

Prior to your procedure, you will receive specific instructions regarding medications to avoid prior to your specific procedure. It is beneficial to be well hydrated and to have eaten your breakfast or lunch. If you are receiving prolotherapy or stem cell injection, you will be taken to the procedure/examination room where the procedure will be performed. If you are having PRP injection performed, you will first be taken to the procedure room where your blood will be drawn. For all procedures, you will be positioned comfortably and then prepped. After that, numbing medication to the intended site of injection will be applied and then your procedures will be performed. If you have had an upper limb injected, you may be placed in a sling for approximately 48 hours. If you had a lower limb procedure, you may go home with crutches or you may use a walker at home if you wish. It is recommended that you remain non-weight-bearing for 48 hours. You will receive preliminary instructions regarding your post-procedural activities until you are seen back in the office for your recheck appointment.
