At Quincy Medical Group, we work with you and your family to provide your treatment and coordinate your care. Our cancer doctors are board-certified in oncology and hematology and work closely with the entire Cancer Institute staff to ensure your needs are met. Your care team extends beyond your doctor. Each member of your team is here to provide support and resources to you.

Nurses

Our nursing team has many different roles at the Cancer Institute. This includes administering chemotherapy, helping you manage your symptoms, caring for your ongoing needs, and answering any of your questions. Oncology nurses must manage both the symptoms of a patient’s disease and the side effects of various cancer treatments. They must be able to evaluate each patient and initiate appropriate care.

Financial Counselors

Our financial counselors assist you and your family with figuring out healthcare costs and finding options for payment assistance. They discuss health care costs and payment options with you and help navigate any questions or processes with your insurance company. LEARN MORE>>

Care Navigators

Care navigators are here to listen to your concerns and understand your needs. Your navigator will work closely with you, your family, and your oncology team to map out a treatment plan specific to you. We’ll be there for you and with you. Your navigator can also help you with tasks that have nothing at all to do with cancer and everything to do with improving your quality of life. LEARN MORE >>

Social Workers

Our social workers work closely with you and your family to provide support outside of your physical needs. This includes counseling, information, and assistance in regards to resources to help you throughout your care.

Dietitians

Proper nutrition can help you tolerate treatment better, heal faster, and overall feel better. But cancer and its treatment can sometimes cause problems that can make it hard to eat. It is important to eat a well-balanced diet and address nutrition symptoms early. Meeting with a Registered Dietitian will help you get the proper nutrition to help you maintain energy and strength.
