I have been prac­tic­ing gas­troen­terol­o­gy for more than three decades. Each day I con­tin­ue to see that lis­ten­ing and try­ing to under­stand each per­son­’s needs is as impor­tant as hav­ing up to date knowl­edge, skills and tools. I retired from full time prac­tice in 2022 and see patients exclu­sive­ly at our part­ner, Sarah D Cul­bert­son Hos­pi­tal in Rushville, Illi­nois. I con­tin­ue to attend edu­ca­tion­al meet­ings and con­fer­ences, nation­al­ly and remote­ly at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wis­con­sin where my daugh­ter is a physi­cian assis­tant in the Divi­sion of Gas­troen­terol­o­gy and Hepatology.
