Jo Ann O'Rourke, MSEd, LCPC

Jo Ann earned her bachelor’s degree in Ele­men­tary Edu­ca­tion from Illi­nois State Uni­ver­si­ty and then taught ele­men­tary school for sev­er­al years before return­ing to fur­ther her edu­ca­tion at West­ern Illi­nois Uni­ver­si­ty to earn a Mas­ter of Sci­ence in Edu­ca­tion degree in Clin­i­cal Men­tal Health Coun­sel­ing. She is a Licensed Clin­i­cal Pro­fes­sion­al Coun­selor and a Reg­is­tered Play Ther­a­pist. Ms. O’Rourke has been pro­vid­ing ther­a­py ser­vices in the Quincy/​Hannibal area for more than 20 years. She enjoys pro­vid­ing indi­vid­ual, fam­i­ly, and group ther­a­py ser­vices for all ages. Spe­cial areas of inter­est include children’s men­tal health, depres­sion, anx­i­ety, and family/​parenting issues. Play ther­a­py and the field of Pos­i­tive Psy­chol­o­gy are also of spe­cial inter­est for her and are used through­out her practice.
