My interest in becoming a nurse like my mother and grandmother stems back as far as I can remember. I have always had a strong desire to care for children of all ages and their families. I began my nursing career as a Labor and Delivery/Nursery Nurse and then moved into the role as a Pediatric Nurse at QMG over 16 years ago. As a Pediatric Nurse I found my job rewarding but I felt like I had more to offer. Since furthering my education and obtaining my Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, it has allowed me to provide even more of an active role in providing care to ill children as well as providing support and education to their families. One of the biggest rewards of this job is knowing that you’re making a difference.
