Hello! My name is Anne Zinn. I am a speech language pathologist and specialize in feeding disorders. I have my certificate of clinical competence from ASHA, am a Certified Lactation specialist, and am a trained TOTs provider (tethered oral tissue). I specialize in feeding disorders, ankyloglossia (tongue tie/lip tie), breastfeeding, used to co teach the breastfeeding classes, and am a part of the pediatric feeding therapy and swallow study team. I am a graduate of the Leadership Academy (2019) and was an Ambassador at QMG.
Ultimately what led me to my interest in becoming a speech language pathologist was my desire to make a change in the medical field. My interest in speech language pathology came from a very young age. I have always been interested in the medical field, but I wasn’t sure which career path to take. I observed the benefits of therapy and how rewarding therapy can be. I feel as a speech therapist I can provide just as rewarding therapy by assisting in giving each child a voice and eliciting their feeding skills to safely swallow foods! Speech therapy is a diverse field full of a variety of opportunities to help others grow, engage in clinical experiences/research, and even impacts social change as well as assists each child in setting them up for success in the future!
