Pain is a condition that is more common than just about every other disease — be it high blood pressure, heart disease, or even cancer — and it can affect every aspect of a patient’s life. My philosophy of care is to use non-opioid options, not just to help reduce pain, but to also improve function so that patients can get back to the activities which they find most meaningful — e.g., playing with their kids or grandkids, attending church, traveling, and being able to sit through sporting events (just to name a few)!
