Coming from Chicago where social determinants of health was highly recognized, Luanna knew she wanted to help individuals become the best healthiest version of themselves. With knowing this, she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Public Health Education and Sociology. After receiving her Bachelors, she received her Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale with an emphasis in Health Education revolving around social determinants of health, maternal health, sexual health, health equity, and working around all topics revolving women’s health. Luanna is passionate about serving others and teaching individuals about the different types of behaviors that can promote health and also deter health to promote wellness and prevent preventable diseases/situations. Luanna enjoys developing strategies to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
