The Eye & Vision Institute at Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is getting a new home. On September 18th, patients will be welcomed to a new facility at 1125 Hampshire.

Currently located at QMG’s 1025 Maine Street location, the new facility provides patients with more exam and testing rooms, easy access for optical needs, and updated equipment and technology to ensure quality care for patients.

Dr. Abram Geisendorfer, QMG Ophthalmologist, said the new space was designed with the patient in mind.  “Upon arrival patients will find a modern, updated setting that provides a comfortable feel,” he said.  “The overall patient experience will be improved with better patient flow and reduced wait times.”

The Eye & Vision Institute is comprised of a multi-specialty team consisting of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and Opticians providing patients access to specialty and routine care.  This care includes vision tests, glasses and contact lenses, screenings for eye diseases, diagnosis and treatment of most eye conditions, and specialized care of medical retina, glaucoma, corneal disease, cataract, as well as eyelid procedures.

QMG Ophthalmologist Dr. Eric Sieck says this vast range of services allows area patients to get the care they need close to home.  “Within our eye care department, we have added more specialties to really broaden the depth of care we can offer to our patients,” he said.  “We can fulfill most aspects of eye care right here in one location.”

An open house for the public to tour the facility and meet the eye care team will take place in October.

Eye & Vision Institute team includes Optometrists Cathryn Ahearn, OD; Kevin Becker, OD;  Paul Tracy, OD; Jodie Wadsworth, OD., and Ophthalmologists Abram Geisendorfer, MD; David Phillips, MD; Eric Sieck, MD; and Robert Weller, MD.
