Quincy Medical Group (QMG) was honored recently at the annual conference of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA).
Carol Brockmiller, Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Richard Schlepphorst, Chief Medical Officer, accepted the Foundation Star Award on behalf of QMG. QMG was one of nine healthcare organizations nationwide to receive the award which recognizes commitment to healthcare quality as demonstrated by participation in and support of AMGA Foundation’s quality programs.
Brockmiller said the award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the physicians and clinical teams at QMG. “Receiving this recognition among the leading healthcare organizations in the nation is a true honor,” Brockmiller said. “Our team strives to provide the highest standard of care, and continuously seek ways to improve care for the patients and communities we serve. Our membership with AMGA provides valuable resources and tools to allow us to achieve this.”
Criteria for the Foundation Star Award include participation in four or more AMGA Foundation initiatives that focus on improving health and health care. These initiatives include: applying for the Acclaim Award, which honors high performing healthcare organizations; participating in one or more Best Practices Learning Collaboratives; taking part in an AMGA national campaign focused on chronic disease management; and donating to the Foundation.
