Quincy Medical Group Recognized by American Medical Group Association

Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) was hon­ored recent­ly at the annu­al con­fer­ence of the Amer­i­can Med­ical Group Asso­ci­a­tion (AMGA).

Car­ol Brock­miller, Chief Exec­u­tive Offi­cer, and Dr. Richard Schlep­phorst, Chief Med­ical Offi­cer, accept­ed the Foun­da­tion Star Award on behalf of QMG. QMG was one of nine health­care orga­ni­za­tions nation­wide to receive the award which rec­og­nizes com­mit­ment to health­care qual­i­ty as demon­strat­ed by par­tic­i­pa­tion in and sup­port of AMGA Foundation’s qual­i­ty programs.

Brock­miller said the award is a tes­ta­ment to the hard work and ded­i­ca­tion of the physi­cians and clin­i­cal teams at QMG. ​“Receiv­ing this recog­ni­tion among the lead­ing health­care orga­ni­za­tions in the nation is a true hon­or,” Brock­miller said. ​“Our team strives to pro­vide the high­est stan­dard of care, and con­tin­u­ous­ly seek ways to improve care for the patients and com­mu­ni­ties we serve. Our mem­ber­ship with AMGA pro­vides valu­able resources and tools to allow us to achieve this.”

Cri­te­ria for the Foun­da­tion Star Award include par­tic­i­pa­tion in four or more AMGA Foun­da­tion ini­tia­tives that focus on improv­ing health and health care. These ini­tia­tives include: apply­ing for the Acclaim Award, which hon­ors high per­form­ing health­care orga­ni­za­tions; par­tic­i­pat­ing in one or more Best Prac­tices Learn­ing Col­lab­o­ra­tives; tak­ing part in an AMGA nation­al cam­paign focused on chron­ic dis­ease man­age­ment; and donat­ing to the Foundation.
