Quincy Medical Group (QMG) held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, April 5, to celebrate the start of construction for the new QMG Mt. Sterling Clinic at 216 Pittsfield Rd. QMG has provided care for the Brown County community since 1996.
“Mt. Sterling is a wonderful community that Quincy Medical Group has been proud to serve for many years,” shared Carol Brockmiller, QMG CEO. “Today, we celebrate the future with a new clinic that will provide a welcoming, comfortable place for healthcare for years to come.”
QMG’s services to patients have grown over the past two decades, and the new facility will provide an opportunity to enhance care locally. The QMG Mt. Sterling Clinic team offers comprehensive primary care for all ages. Ancillary and specialty services provided include Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Laboratory, Nutrition Services, Physical Therapy, and Podiatry.
“Access to healthcare in rural communities, like Brown County, is critical to the overall health of those who reside here,” Brockmiller said. “The new facility will allow us to enhance the care experience for every patient who walks through our doors.”
Dr. Jennifer Schroeder is a family practice physician at the QMG Mt. Sterling Clinic. She joined QMG in 2006 and said the Mt. Sterling healthcare team looks forward to what the new clinic will bring to the community.
“Mt. Sterling has been a perfect home for medical care in Brown County and the surrounding communities for 25 years,” she said. “It has been my blessing to have served here for many of those. We look forward to continuing to serve in this new building, which we hope will be a blessing to our communities in the years to come.”
During construction, the QMG Mt. Sterling Clinic relocated to a temporary location at 109 Buckhorn Rd in Mt. Sterling, which is the former location of the DOT John Wood Community College (JWCC) Learning Center.
