Coming to Quincy Medical Group is a homecoming for Dr. David Phillips. Born in Quincy, and raised in Canton, MO, he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community that means so much to him. Dr. Phillips is an Ophthalmologist joining the eye care team at Quincy Medical Group. “Growing up in the surrounding region, I’m looking forward to being close to home and working alongside the talented team here at QMG.”
As a glaucoma specialist, Dr. Phillips provides a needed service to the area. “With fellowship training in glaucoma, I’m able to treat patients’ medical and surgical needs right here at home.”
He looks forward to meeting with his patients and providing the individualized care they need. “I care for patients as if they were my own family members. collaborating with patients to identify their individual needs allows us to work together to determine the most effective treatment option for them.”
Dr. Phillips received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Quincy University and his medical degree from the University of Missouri- School of Medicine in Columbia. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and his glaucoma fellowship training at the University of Utah.
