QMG Cancer Institute Expands to Offer Radiation Oncology

Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) is pleased to announce an expan­sion to the QMG Can­cer Insti­tute with the addi­tion of Radi­a­tion Oncol­o­gy. Michael Fal­lon, MD, board-cer­ti­fied Radi­a­tion Oncol­o­gist, recent­ly joined the QMG Can­cer Insti­tute team.

Dr. Fal­lon will work in part­ner­ship with the QMG Can­cer Institute’s Med­ical Oncol­o­gy providers includ­ing M. Amjad Ali, MD; Chris­t­ian Khoury, MD; Karthik Kodu­ru, MD; Ray­mond Smith, MD; and Vitor Pas­tori­ni, MD. Togeth­er, the team brings over 100 years of expe­ri­ence pro­vid­ing local patients with the lat­est treat­ment options.

As a new com­po­nent of the QMG Can­cer Insti­tute, Radi­a­tion Med­i­cine will offer an impres­sive array of clin­i­cal and high­ly con­for­mal radi­a­tion pro­ce­dures crit­i­cal to the com­pre­hen­sive care of patients through­out the cours­es of their treat­ment and recov­ery,” Dr. Fal­lon said. As applied to the field of oncol­o­gy, Radi­a­tion Med­i­cine is inte­gral to the man­age­ment of can­cer in both cura­tive and pal­lia­tive settings.”

Dr. Fal­lon received his med­ical degree from the State Uni­ver­si­ty of New York Stony Brook Med­ical School and com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy in radi­a­tion oncol­o­gy at Emory Uni­ver­si­ty in Atlanta, Georgia.

Since 1981, QMG has pro­vid­ed can­cer care to the local region. In March, the QMG Can­cer Insti­tute opened at 3301 Broad­way in Quin­cy. The state-of-the-art can­cer treat­ment facil­i­ty pro­vides com­pre­hen­sive care to patients, includ­ing clin­i­cal tri­als to help ensure patients have access to the lat­est advances in can­cer treat­ment, as well as sup­port pro­grams that help patients nav­i­gate chal­lenges asso­ci­at­ed with a can­cer diagnosis.
