In the rush of everyday life, it’s easy to put yourself on the backburner. As a Physician Assistant with Quincy Medical Group, Melissa Lenderman’s advice to her patients is to pause and make health a priority. “We all have busy lives, and it’s easy to get caught up in our worlds. An ounce of prevention is really worth a pound of cure. Preventative medicine and taking care of yourself is important.”
Melissa joins the Pittsfield location, an opportunity that brings her back home. “It is wonderful to come back and serve the community I grew up in. I have missed being in a tight-knit community. Just simply the friendliness of people, and going places and seeing people you know, means a lot to me.”
It’s in Pittsfield where Melissa first dreamed of a career in helping others. Now she lives out that dream each day. “Fortunately, I’m almost 31years into my career, and it’s been such a positive experience. I still enjoy what I do. I feel like I’m able to provide a service to people that is beneficial.”
Melissa attended Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, where she studied chemistry and biology and received her bachelor’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Melissa works alongside Dr. Ayca Raif, as well as the Walk-in Clinic in our Pittsfield location. To schedule an appointment with her, call (217) 285‑9601.
