Dr. Samuel Healy has always had a love for children. In high school, he taught summer school classes, coached youth baseball, and refereed youth football. Now as a pediatrician at Quincy Medical Group, he dedicates his career to helping children of all ages.
“One of the things I really love about pediatrics is that I get to see the kids throughout their entire life. I get to be there in the delivery room for some of them, see them in the newborn nursery, and then see them into their childhood and adolescent years,” he said. “I follow them along their journey, and get the opportunity to watch them grow along with their families.”
Dr. Healy and his wife are parents to a young child and understand the rewards and challenges that come along with parenting. “There’s advice you give as a pediatrician and advice you give as a parent. Being a young parent myself and going through things with my child, I’m able to use my experience as a way to put families at ease. We’re a team, and I’m someone they can rely on to provide the best care.”
Dr. Healy received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University COM. He is board certified through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
