Dr. Matthew Brink Joins Quincy Medical Group

August 22, 2018

For Dr. Matthew Brink, caring for his patients is a team effort. Patients are much more successful when we can make decisions together. Through conversation, we can determine the goals patients have for their health and I can help guide decisions to help them attain those goals.”

Building those relationships with patients is something he’s looking forward to doing as he joins the Family Practice team at Quincy Medical Group. I learn a lot from my patients. Each patient is an opportunity to improve my medical knowledge. Additionally, they teach me about themselves and their families. My hope is that we can learn from one another as we move through this journey together. ”

Dr. Brink is coming back home to join QMG, and he couldn’t be more excited to take care of families in his hometown. My goal was always to come home to Quincy. I feel really blessed that I’m able to come back to serve the community I love. When I go other places, I always say Quincy is the greatest place on earth’, and I believe the people here make that true.”

Dr. Brink received his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University. He earned his Masters of Medical Sciences and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria where he served as the chief resident.
