Cancer Care in Pittsfield is Expanding and Relocating

Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) is pleased to announce the expan­sion and relo­ca­tion of oncol­o­gy and hema­tol­ogy care in Pitts­field. Begin­ning in Novem­ber, the QMG oncol­o­gy team will pro­vide these ser­vices at the cur­rent Pitts­field Clin­ic loca­tion at 320 N. Madi­son Street.

Since 2006, the QMG oncol­o­gists and team have served patients at Illi­ni Hos­pi­tal in Pitts­field. The relo­ca­tion will be an exten­sion of the QMG Can­cer Insti­tute expect­ed to open in ear­ly 2020 in Quin­cy pro­vid­ing area patients with a holis­tic care expe­ri­ence. Ser­vices in Pitts­field will include chemother­a­py, infu­sion ther­a­py, and imag­ing. Patients will also have access to a stat lab, pro­vid­ing them with time­ly results, opti­miz­ing the care pro­vid­ed by QMG’s oncol­o­gists. Physi­cians will con­tin­ue see­ing patients in Pittsfield.

QMG CEO Car­ol Brock­miller said, ​“As our work pro­gress­es on the QMG Can­cer Insti­tute in Quin­cy, we are excit­ed about this addi­tion­al oppor­tu­ni­ty to pro­vide oncol­o­gy and hema­tol­ogy care in our Pitts­field Clinic.”

QMG oncol­o­gists cur­rent­ly pro­vid­ing care at Illi­ni Hos­pi­tal will con­tin­ue their care at the new loca­tion. Those physi­cians include Dr. M. Amjad Ali, Dr. Chris­t­ian Khoury and Dr. Ray­mond Smith.

Pitts­field joins the fol­low­ing loca­tions in addi­tion to Quin­cy where oncol­o­gy ser­vices are pro­vid­ed by QMG: Rushville, IL; Keokuk, IA; Pinck­neyville, IL; Mem­phis, MO; Han­ni­bal, MO and Fort Madi­son, IA.
