Her ener­gy and enthu­si­asm — whether in Cross­Fit or sky­div­ing — reflect the care and encour­age­ment she brings to every patient.

In hon­or of Advanced Prac­tice Providers Week, we rec­og­nize Sta­cia Briscoe, FNP‑C, and explore what inspired her to pur­sue a career in healthcare.

As we kick off Advanced Prac­tice Provider Week, we’re high­light­ing the incred­i­ble work of our team mem­bers who make a dif­fer­ence in patients’ lives every day. First up is Sarah Dou­glas, AGAC-NP, an Acute Care Nurse Prac­ti­tion­er who works in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Dr. Adam Rey­burn at Quin­cy Med­ical Group 

Heather and Karl’s qui­et sus­pi­cion turned into a joy­ful sur­prise when an ultra­sound con­firmed they were hav­ing twins. From preg­nan­cy to first check­ups, Quin­cy Med­ical Group’s trust­ed OB and pedi­atric teams pro­vid­ed guid­ance, reas­sur­ance, and care every step of the way.

Join us Sat­ur­day, Sep­tem­ber 6, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at South Park in Quin­cy for the 5^th annu­al Man Up event host­ed by Quin­cy Med­ical Group. This free event wel­comes men of all ages to enjoy food, fun, friends, and fel­low­ship — and most impor­tant­ly, make the most of free health screenings.

Among the providers you’ll meet is Ted, Direc­tor of Car­diac Ser­vices at QMG. Ted has been part of Man Up since the very begin­ning and is return­ing for his fifth year. He’ll once again be on-site offer­ing free EKG tests while also con­nect­ing with men in the com­mu­ni­ty about their health.

In the lives of many fam­i­lies, there’s been one famil­iar, com­fort­ing pres­ence through count­less snif­fles, check-ups, first fevers, and grow­ing pains — Becky Campbell.

After more than 40 years ded­i­cat­ed to pedi­atrics, includ­ing 27 years with Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG), Becky, a nurse prac­ti­tion­er, is retir­ing. To the fam­i­lies she cared for, she has been more than just a health­care provider; she has become a cher­ished part of their extend­ed family. 

Some­times a lit­tle push from loved ones can make all the dif­fer­ence. For David P., encour­age­ment from his wife and daugh­ters led to a der­ma­tol­ogy appoint­ment that may have saved his life. Dur­ing a full skin exam with Dr. Austin Mad­dy at Quin­cy Med­ical Group, a sus­pi­cious mole on David’s neck was iden­ti­fied as melanoma — caught ear­ly thanks to their per­sis­tence. David’s expe­ri­ence is a pow­er­ful reminder of how quick, sim­ple, and poten­tial­ly life­sav­ing a skin exam can be.

Whether you’re going for a run, sit­ting on your couch recov­er­ing from a bad flu, or sit­ting out in the hot sun, you’ve prob­a­bly heard the same advice: Get plen­ty of fluids.

Drink­ing enough flu­ids pre­vents you from get­ting dehy­drat­ed. Dehy­dra­tion is more than just feel­ing thirsty – it’s when you lose or use more flu­id than you take in, and your body doesn’t have the water it needs to func­tion correctly. 

Stay­ing hydrat­ed is crit­i­cal for stay­ing healthy, and it’s espe­cial­ly impor­tant for main­tain­ing a healthy heart.
