The past four and a half years have been full of grat­i­tude for Vic­ki McColez, despite going through some of the most chal­leng­ing days of her life.

When you’re a new par­ent, you want a cir­cle of sup­port to help you nav­i­gate the ups and downs of rais­ing your new addi­tion. Part of that cir­cle is the per­son who will care for the health needs of your lit­tle one. Hav­ing some­one you trust is important.

Sharadan Parks always want­ed a fam­i­ly of her own, but she knew her jour­ney to par­ent­hood would be a dif­fi­cult one. She, along with her hus­band, Sam, leaned on the team at Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) to help get them through what would be a dif­fi­cult road and depends on them now to care for their young family.

In July of 2019, Sheila McGraw began expe­ri­enc­ing some strange symp­toms. Her face, tem­ples, and neck had swelled sig­nif­i­cant­ly. She assumed the reac­tion was due to aller­gies. Can­cer nev­er crossed her mind.

When Maken­zie and Bradley Holt­mey­er pre­pared to wel­come their third child ear­li­er this year, life was a lot dif­fer­ent — and busier — from when they wel­comed their first child three years ago.

This past sum­mer was a scary time for Kala Bred­er and her fam­i­ly. As she await­ed the arrival of her third child, a baby boy, Kala began expe­ri­enc­ing bleed­ing at 33 weeks preg­nant as a result of pla­cen­ta pre­via. After her baby failed to respond to a non-stress test, the deci­sion was made to deliv­er him via emer­gency C‑section. Her son, Chan­ning, made his arrival at 12:12 a.m. on July 16 and was air­lift­ed to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
