As the end of each year, we take time to cel­e­brate the achieve­ments of our team through our annu­al awards. We’re excit­ed to announce the recip­i­ent of the 2024 QMG Lead­er­ship Excel­lence Award — Tay­lor D., Direc­tor of Oncology. 

Dr. Kendra Conkright, a physi­cian with Quin­cy Med­ical Group’s Pitts­field Clin­ic, is deeply com­mit­ted to her com­mu­ni­ty. Grow­ing up in near­by Grig­gsville, she devel­oped a strong con­nec­tion to the area and its peo­ple. Her child­hood expe­ri­ences with a med­ical con­di­tion sparked her inter­est in health­care, and she pur­sued her edu­ca­tion with the goal of return­ing to serve her community.

Care­givers face immense chal­lenges, includ­ing finan­cial strain and emo­tion­al stress. Learn how Mimi McK­in­ney and Michaela Fray-Tappe over­came these obsta­cles and the impor­tance of com­mu­ni­ty sup­port for caregivers.

Hol­ly B. pur­sued a career in health­care after years as a stay-at-home mom. Start­ing as a care­giv­er and inspired by a nurse she worked with, she became a med­ical assis­tant. Now, Hol­ly has found her pas­sion in pro­vid­ing care to patients at Quin­cy Med­ical Group.

Jonathan F. joined Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) as a med­ical assis­tant to gain hands-on expe­ri­ence before pur­su­ing med­ical school. His role allows him to con­nect with patients and make a mean­ing­ful impact on their lives.

Tiffany Greiman, a Nurse Prac­ti­tion­er at Quin­cy Med­ical Group, cares for patients in local nurs­ing homes. Inspired by her cowork­ers and shaped by her ear­ly expe­ri­ences with her grand­moth­er, Tiffany found her call­ing in geri­atrics, a field where she feels right at home.

Jor­dan Hogan, MSN, APRN, FNP‑C, cares for patients at Quin­cy Med­ical Group as a nurse prac­ti­tion­er in our Inter­ven­tion­al Spine and Joint Well­ness depart­ment. Jor­dan shares what inspired her career path, empha­siz­ing her pas­sion for help­ing oth­ers and her desire to make a tan­gi­ble impact on patients’ lives. 

Lisa Knuff­man, ANP-BC, AOC­NP, shares her jour­ney of becom­ing a nurse prac­ti­tion­er inspired by her per­son­al con­nec­tion to can­cer. With over 15 years at QMG, she has become a ded­i­cat­ed and trust­ed oncol­o­gy care provider, moti­vat­ed by the expe­ri­ence of sup­port­ing a close friend through leukemia. 

World AIDS Day is rec­og­nized each year on Decem­ber 1. The recog­ni­tion offers an oppor­tu­ni­ty for peo­ple world­wide to unite in the fight against HIV, show sup­port for those liv­ing with HIV/AIDS, and to com­mem­o­rate those who have died.

Every year in March, we mark Nation­al Col­orec­tal Can­cer Month to bring aware­ness to the dis­ease and the impor­tance of screen­ing. Bri­an Deeds was diag­nosed with col­orec­tal can­cer in 2021 and shares his sto­ry to encour­age oth­ers to talk to their doctors.
