Support for Breastfeeding Moms

Breastfeeding can be a rewarding but challenging experience for many new moms. Ashley S., R.N. and lactation specialist, is here to help guide and support you.

My role as a lactation specialist is to help moms navigate through their breastfeeding journey and to be there to support and help them with any questions or concerns that they may have along the way,” Ashley explained.

Whether you’re a new mom or need some extra help, Ashley and her team are ready to assist. Some of the most common issues that Ashley and her team address include mastitis, sore or cracked nipples, low milk supply, clogged milk ducts, breast engorgement, and thrush. These challenges can be tough, but with the right support, they can be managed effectively.

Ashley shares some essential tips to help make breastfeeding a bit easier:

  • Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water is crucial for maintaining a good milk supply.
  • Breastfeed or empty breasts frequently: This helps prevent issues like clogged ducts and ensures a steady milk supply.
  • Eat a well-balanced diet: Proper nutrition supports overall health and milk production.
  • Utilize support groups: Connecting with others who are breastfeeding can provide valuable advice and emotional support.
  • Ensure pump flanges are the correct size: Proper fit helps make pumping more effective and comfortable.

If you’re struggling with breastfeeding or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out for help.
