Joy of Caring for Kids

Jessica Boozers journey into healthcare was driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact on others. She found her calling in the field of pediatrics, where she works today as a nurse practitioner at the Quincy Medical Group Pittsfield Clinic.

I became a nurse practitioner because I love working with people and enjoy being a part in their healing and wellness journey,” she shared.

One of the most rewarding aspects of her career has been working with children.

Seeing my kiddos smile and light up when talking to them brings me so much joy,” Jessica said.” A hug and/or smile from one of your patients can make any bad day better again. I’m also amazed at how resilient children can be. I learn something new from them every day.”

Jessica’s love for pediatrics began early in her career, when she worked in a daycare while in college.

I’ve always loved working with children. I worked at a daycare in undergrad. When the position to work in pediatrics came up, I couldn’t pass it up,” she said.

At our Pittsfield clinic, Jessica cares for patients in both pediatrics and the QMG Now, addressing a wide range of medical needs.

For those considering a career in advanced practice, Jessica offers this advice: If you have the desire in your heart to want to further your career, are willing to work hard, are interested in constantly learning and wish to pursue additional responsibility and opportunities, do it! It’s hard but is also so rewarding.”
