2024 Leadership Excellence Award Recipient: Taylor Delcour

As the end of each year, we take time to cel­e­brate the achieve­ments of our team through our annu­al awards. We’re excit­ed to announce the first hon­oree of the Lead­er­ship Excel­lence Award — Tay­lor D., Direc­tor of Oncology. 

Recip­i­ents of this dis­tin­guished award are lead­ers with­in the orga­ni­za­tion who exhib­it above and beyond per­for­mance; is an effec­tive leader; a men­tor to oth­ers; demon­strates QMG’s core val­ues; is com­mit­ted to diver­si­ty and inclu­sion, and cre­ates, deliv­ers, and sus­tains a cul­ture of excel­lence on their team.

Taylor’s jour­ney with QMG began as a float nurse, where she quick­ly show­cased her excep­tion­al skills and ded­i­ca­tion. Her com­mit­ment to patient care and her abil­i­ty to con­nect with her team led to her tran­si­tion to the role as a lab nurse in Med­ical Oncol­o­gy. But Tay­lor didn’t stop there; she con­tin­ued to grow, tak­ing on the role of Nurs­ing Coor­di­na­tor in Med­ical Oncol­o­gy before advanc­ing to Direc­tor of Med­ical Oncol­o­gy. Most recent­ly, she embraced the role of Direc­tor of Oncol­o­gy, where she now leads both Med­ical and Radi­a­tion Oncology.

“I’ve had the plea­sure of work­ing along­side Tay­lor through­out her incred­i­ble lead­er­ship jour­ney with­in QMG. She is a remark­able leader, and an even more remark­able human being. Taylor’s amaz­ing abil­i­ty to make sure every­one feels seen, heard, and sup­port­ed while also call­ing them to great­ness is a unique lead­er­ship tal­ent of hers,” shared Taylor’s leader, Shau­na H., Vice Pres­i­dent of Nurs­ing Oper­a­tions. ​“She leads with an unwa­ver­ing demand for high qual­i­ty care yet bal­ances this demand with her unwa­ver­ing kind­ness and under­stand­ing. Through­out the years, it has tru­ly been my priv­i­lege to be a part of Taylor’s lead­er­ship journey.”

Taylor’s jour­ney through QMG is a tes­ta­ment to her hard work, resilience, and com­mit­ment to excel­lence. She con­tin­ues to show what it means to lead with integri­ty, com­pas­sion, and an unwa­ver­ing ded­i­ca­tion to QMG’s mis­sion and has pos­i­tive­ly touched the lives of so many patients and colleagues.
