First Commercial 3D Printed Casts Launching with Quincy Medical Group in Illinois

Pueblo, CO – November 29, 2017Biomedical startup, ActivArmorTM, is partnering with Quincy Medical Group in Quincy, Illinois as the first clinic to offer their innovative 3D printed casts in the Eastern United States.  With years of field-testing completed on the high-tech waterproof, hygienic, breathable cast/splinting alternative, the startup company has recently expanded outside the state of Colorado to Los Angeles and is now partnering with QMG, a multisite regional healthcare provider in Quincy.

ActivArmorTM orthoses are being prescribed for injuries like breaks, sprains, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, through Parkview Regional Medical Center and Centura in Pueblo, CO, HealthFit Family Medicine in Castle Rock, CO, CompletePT in Los Angeles, CA, and will be launching in Quincy Medical Group in early December.  The next-gen casts are completely custom – precisely fitting to each patient using a 3D body scan, and designed per their doctor’s prescription, including the ability to expose post-surgical hardware or incisions, and adaptable for use with ultrasound and other advanced technologies.

"The traditional casting market was ripe for disruption," says Diana Hall, President/COO and Founder, "and ActivArmorTM is allowing patients to remain active and enjoy lifestyle freedoms while immobilizing their injuries or for sports support."

Matthew Bruns, Nurse Practitioner with Quincy Medical Group’s Orthopedics department says, "ActivArmor provides a lightweight, breathable, water-proof option for patients with many injuries or conditions that want to lead active lifestyles while healing.  This is also a unique opportunity to bring exciting technology to our community and the surrounding area."

"We are excited about our new partnership with this strategic healthcare provider in Illinois, as we kick off our nationwide expansion," says Hall.  ActivArmor is currently available by prescription through the clinics listed on their website ( and covered by insurance.
